Join us for a talk with Sathnam Sanghera, the British journalist and best-selling author.
Sathnam has been recognised twice by the Costa Book Awards for his memoir, The Boy With The Topknot, and his novel, Marriage Material. His third book, Empireland, was a Sunday Times bestseller in 2021 and was named Book of the Year at the 2022 British Books Awards. It also inspired the two-part Channel 4 documentary, Empire State of Mind.
In his latest book, Empireworld, Sathnam explores the global legacies of British imperialism, highlighting the disparity between Britain's perception of its imperial history and the world's experience of it.
