Mishcon de Reya is delighted to announce that Nick Allan has joined the firm’s Innovation department.
Nick joins as a partner in Mishcon’s Interactive Entertainment division and will lead its video games practice. He will work alongside the firm’s established team of lawyers who combine their specialist knowledge, passion and ingrained industry knowledge to help a broad range of clients – from game developers and publishers to esports teams, licensors, outsourced service providers and tech suppliers – to navigate this constantly evolving sector.
Nick’s practice focuses on the $200 billion global video games industry, including PC, console, mobile, web-browser and VR/AR games, as well as all other areas where interactive entertainment intersects with other industries. Nick will deliver commercial contract, IP transactional and IP advisory services to clients and will advise on industry regulation, including consumer laws, data, online safety, loot boxes and age ratings. Nick joins Mishcon de Reya from Lewis Silkin where he was a partner and the firm’s Head of Interactive Entertainment since 2021.
