Liam is a Managing Associate in the Corporate Department.  Liam focuses on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, corporate finance, joint ventures and general corporate advice.

He has strong experience across commercial property, construction, financial services and the banking sector.

Key Experience

  • Providing independent advice to the co-founder/substantial shareholder of an AIM listed company regarding a takeover offer (by way of scheme of arrangement).
  • Advising a global insurer on the acquisition of a communications consulting business.
  • Advising SpiritSuper on its acquisition of GeelongPort and participation in a consortium with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.
  • Advising a major superannuation fund on the disposal of its residential loan portfolio to a private credit fund and an associated investment in residential loan securitisation vehicles.
  • Advised Aon on the sale of Aon Solutions Australia Limited, the operator of the ‘smartMonday’ superannuation business, to Future Superannuation Group.
  • Advising AMP Limited on the sale of its self-managed superannuation fund administration business and software platform (SuperConcepts) to private equity firm Pemba Capital Partners.
  • Advising Leigh Fisheries on the sale of its business and assets to Foodstuffs North Island.
  • Advising Vocus Group New Zealand on its acquisition of Stuff Fibre.
  • Advising Rua Bioscience Limited (NZX:RUA) on its initial public offering on the NZX Main Board.
  • Advising NZ Automotive Investments Limited (NZX:2CC) on its compliance listing on the NZX Main Board.
