Partner Peter Nunn has been featured in The Times, discussing AI generated books. Authors including Jane Friedman have discovered AI generated works have been falsely attributed to them, and sold online without their knowledge or consent.
Peter commented that under UK law, authors can be protected from false attribution, but less well-known authors may have to resort to trademarking their names: “That is far from a panacea, as it costs money, and would have to be done in all of the key countries where the author wants to protect their name.”
