Judgment is expected in the collective proceedings brought by Justin Le Patourel against BT Group. Justin is represented by Sarah Houghton, Gwen Ballin-Reeler and the Mishcon de Reya Competition Litigation team. As John Astill of Exton Advisors acknowledged in this article in the Times on 7 November, this is the first collective proceedings tried since the Consumer Rights Act 2015 introduced the regime in the UK.
Should Mr Le Patourel succeed, the case will go on to give important guidance in terms of the distribution of damages to large classes of claimants.
