The Lord Chancellor has appointed Campbell Forsyth as a legally qualified member to the Civil Procedure Rule Committee (CPRC) from 6 December 2024 until 5 December 2027.
The CPRC is a non-departmental public body. It was established under the Civil Procedure Act 1997 to make rules of court, setting out the practice and procedure, for the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the County Court.
A qualified solicitor, Campbell has been a Partner at Mishcon de Reya LLP since 2021 leading the patent litigation practice and integrated patent attorney team. Also in 2021, he was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery Division; and, in 2018, a Deputy District Judge on the South Eastern circuit.
