What parents need to know about SEN support and school admissions

DateTimeOnline

This session is hosted externally by Ivy Education

For parents of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), the school admissions process can raise difficult questions: Will declaring your child’s SEN affect their chances of securing a place? How do you assess whether a school is genuinely equipped to support your child’s needs? And what key questions should you be asking to ensure the right fit?

In this webinar, schools consultant Gayle Marshall will clarify these concerns, offering practical advice on navigating SEN disclosure during applications and reviewing a school’s suitability. Drawing on her extensive experience overseeing admissions at both preparatory and senior levels, including her current role as Assistant Head at Wetherby Prep, Gayle will guide parents through how schools evaluate SEN applications, what support provisions to look for, and how to confidently advocate for your child throughout the process.

This session is designed for parents of children aged 3-16 years.
