We are very pleased to announce that, at a reception at the House of Lords on 30 March 2010, a team of students we support at Queen Mary University won the "Best Contribution by a Team of Students" in the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Awards 2010.
The award rightfully belongs to the QM students, who work extremely hard, outside of their legal studies, to provide free legal advice to members of the LGBT communities. However, the Pink Law advice sessions would not be possible without Mishcon's support, and in particular without the time and effort of our Pink Law volunteer supervisors Lindsay Seftel, Liz Fox, Rachel Egharevba, Jessica Medus, Sara Wychrij, Clare Hicks, Claire Broadbelt, Charlotte Davidson, Dhara Bhatt, Anna Crawford, Annie Jaskel and Nisha Lad, and in particular Emma Woollcott, the Pink Law coordinator and Miles Geffin and Maria Patsalos, who oversee the Family and Immigration advice.
