Mishcon de Reya’s Private Equity team has advised the management team of TrustedHousesitters on the management buyout backed by Mayfair Equity Partners. The partnership will further accelerate growth and support product innovation across its core markets in the UK, US, Europe and Australia and values the business at over $100 million.
TrustedHousesitters is a travel solution for people with pets which connects pet owners with pet sitters around the globe. Pet owners can find verified sitters to look after their pets whilst they're away from home and, in return, sitters are able to visit destinations across the globe. The company was founded in Brighton in 2010 and has facilitated over 10 million nights of pet sitting. With a 158% year-on-year growth in 2022, it operates in more than 140 countries saving pet owners and travellers thousands of pounds annually in accommodation and pet care costs.
The team at Mishcon de Reya was led by Nadim Meer and comprised lawyers from the firm's Private Equity, Tax and Employment teams. The team included Allison Keyse, Olivia Woodhead, Lily Munro, John Skoulding, Eve Drysdale and Greg Campbell.
