Mishcon de Reya is today the first law firm in the world to hold CREST accreditation for its Cyber Threat Intelligence services via MDR Cyber, its cyber security practice. This builds on the Firm’s recent CREST accreditation for Incident Response.
Intelligence on what cyber attackers are capable of, who they targeting and how they are carrying out their attacks is crucial to defend against them. We provide insight into attacker behaviours, the tools and techniques they use and the impact that their attacks may have for our clients.
Joe Hancock, Partner and Head of MDR Cyber, said:
"Good threat intelligence can help businesses prioritise and defend against threats. We regularly investigate and take action against cybercriminals and fraudsters alongside our legal teams. We help identify threat actors, understand their behaviours and provide actionable intelligence to support cyber risk decisions. We also help our clients make recoveries from losses and pursue wrongdoers. Our threat intelligence services are a core part of our incident response services."
This accreditation underpins our commitment to intelligence-led services. Clients are assured that our Incident Response and Consulting services are grounded in up-to-date knowledge of attackers' behaviour, provided by our team.
We are unique in taking these the tools and techniques to track cyber threats and to apply them to traditional investigations. The processes and experience in our team helps us support investigations into financial crime, asset recovery and fraud.
CREST accreditation means that the quality of MDR Cyber's services have been externally validated. Clients can have confidence in the Cyber Threat Intelligence service they are using, and that the processes and policies in place ensure the highest quality of service.
