Mishcon Private Equity has advised the institutional shareholders (led by ICG, Graphite Capital and Stephens Inc.) and the management team (led by CEO Laurent Othacéhé) on the sale of their equity interests in Cognito iQ, a provider of workforce management and analytics technology, to Totalmobile (backed by Bowmark Capital).
Cognito iQ is the provider of market leading real time analytics solution, which collects data from multiple sources to provide a clear overview of operational performance. This enables even the largest and most complex of organisations to manage data in a more effective manner, empowering their customers, which include Transport for London, Hermes and Argos, to achieve continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency.
Totalmobile is the market leader in field service and mobile workforce management technology, helping organisations deliver more service, of the highest quality and at reduced cost.
The transaction will bring Cognito iQ's best-of-breed, real-time performance analytics capability to an already comprehensive suite of Totalmobile's end-to-end Field Service Management technologies, enabling customers to manage data better and closely analyse ongoing operations via a control room that ensures services are being delivered efficiently and KPIs are being met.
Laurent Othacéhé, CEO, Cognito iQ said, “We are most thankful to Mishcon de Reya's Private Equity team for their deep expertise and total commitment to driving the deal to a very successful conclusion.”
The transaction was led by Partner Andrew Rimmington and Managing Associate James Paterson with support from Associate Sam Shabbir and Trainee Solicitor Olivia Ross. Employment advice was provided by Managing Associate Dominic Boon.
Private Equity Partner Andrew Rimmington commented: "We are delighted to have been invited to work with KeyBanc and the Cognito IQ shareholders on this deal. Our expertise in the Tech sector combined with our market leading Management advisory practice has resulted in another hugely successful deal for all parties. The addition of Cognito iQ provides Totalmobile with a strong presence in the fast-growing logistics market, which has an increasing need for transformative and scalable technology due to a change in consumer behaviours, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic."
