Whilst the first senior manager outcome under the SMCR regime is interesting, what may be more interesting for enforcement watchers is what is to come. The FCA recently announced its new joint heads of Enforcement and Market Oversight. Putting this together with the indications we see in respect of future action in On the Horizon (payment firms, ESG benchmarks, market abuse, consumer duty, and more), we are set for "interesting times".
