Janet is a Partner in Mishcon Private and Heads up the Private Commercial Litigation group.
Her practice centres on commercial disputes for a wide variety of clients including high profile individuals, High Net Worth individuals, successful entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, families and family offices. The claims she works on are invariably complex, high value, usually multi-jurisdictional and often include allegations of fraud.
Janet has significant in-depth experience of director and shareholder claims and acts as a trusted advisor on wide-ranging business and partnership disputes, trusts issues and large-scale contractual matters across a wide range of sectors. She has wide experience in the issuing and defending of freezing injunctions and asset protection, as well as partnership issues and general contractual matters.
Janet is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
Janet is also a member of the steering committee for MDR Solutions1, a litigation finance venture offering greater access to funding for claimants, sitting on the firm's funding committee.

Acting for Minor International PCL in relation to various contentious shareholder disputes, leading to its winning bid for the Corbin & King restaurant group following an auction of the business by administrators, FRP.

Acting for an experienced private client lawyer in his various capacities as: i) protector of multiple trusts (both off and onshore); ii) the co-respondent to Arbitration proceedings brought against him as a partner in a (alleged) general partnership; and iii) in his personal capacity, including as a director of companies connected to the trusts and his own ventures/vehicles and as a creditor of the trusts. These are multi-jurisdictional matters involving high value and complex corporate and trust structures primarily in Bermuda and England, but with assets and subsidiaries also in France, Spain, and Switzerland.

Acting for various members of the Dellal family in a significant, high profile family dispute brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 (Dellal v Dellal and Others [2015] EWHC 907 (Fam)).
Representing private individuals in a multi-jurisdictional shareholder dispute over a Cayman investment fund which involved the setting aside of a worldwide freezing order and proprietary injunction, in part on the basis that the claims were likely to be barred by the "no reflective loss" principle (Sukhoruchkin v van Bekestein [2014] EWCA Civ 399)
