Adam Turner discusses legal implications behind working from home in The Telegraph.

Legal Director Adam Turner was interviewed by The Telegraph, discussing the issues that employers may face as a result of employees working from home. The article explores the legal issues of working from home versus working at an office, including tax complications and personal health difficulties.

Adam said “Health and safety law applies as much to people who are working from home, as it does to those who are working in an office.”

Adam explained the complications that can evolve from people working from home, including if people work from different countries. He said “If somebody is working abroad in another country are they effectively creating for tax purposes a permanent establishment in that other country which would raise corporate tax issues potentially for the employer? All these sorts of things are hugely complicated.”
