Join us for our 'In conversation' session with Stefan Kalmár, Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA). He will be interviewed by Amanda Gray, Partner in Art Law.
Stefan and Amanda will talk about the history of the ICA and its place in contemporary culture as well as Stefan's experience as the Director there since 2017. They'll move on to discuss the impact of the pandemic on the art market as well as the institutional landscape in Britain and abroad and on the ICA itself, as well as the main challenges and plans for the future of the ICA. Stefan will also talk about the nomadic European Biennial Manifesta taking place this year in Marseille of which he is the co-curator and which he coined the “pandemic biennial” as a model for deeper local engagement.
