Mishcon de Reya has announced that Kavan Bakhda has joined the firm as a partner in its Dispute Resolution department.
Kavan specialises in complex commercial litigation and has a broad commercial practice. He has advised on a number of high-profile cases involving a variety of multinational banks, funds and businesses.
Kavan is instructed on the most significant current sports litigation case in the High Court, advising current three-time IndyCar world champion Alex Palou on his defence of a claim advanced by McLaren. Kavan will bring this case, one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 cases of 2025, with him to Mishcon de Reya.
Kavan’s clients also include leading sport teams and athletes across sports including football, Formula 1 and IndyCar who instruct him on regulatory and disciplinary issues, dispute resolution, reputation management, commercial contracts and intellectual property-related issues.
