The Government has announced that the Immigration Health Surcharge, which is payable on all work, study and family visa applications where the visa has a duration of more than six months, will be increased from October 2020.
The Immigration Health Surcharge is currently charged at a rate of £400 per year the visa will be valid. From October 2020, the surcharge will be raised to £624 per year for adults and £470 per year for children under 18 years of age.
There will be a discounted rate of £300 per year for those applying for Tier 4 student visas and those applying for Tier 5 (Youth Mobility) visas.
