Mishcon de Reya has announced that Richard Hughes and John Gordon have joined its Real Estate Finance and Commercial Real Estate teams (respectively) as Partners in its London office.
Richard will be joining the Real Estate Finance team from Watson Farley & Williams. He advises lenders and sponsors on both investment and development financings across the capital structure and on all asset classes, with a focus on operating assets. Richard has significant experience advising on restructurings and workouts, special situations and for buyers and sellers of loan portfolios secured on real estate.
John, previously of Herbert Smith Freehills, brings to the team a wealth of commercial real estate expertise, particularly in areas of large-scale development, acquisitions and disposals, pre-lets and finance work. John has significant experience advising on major developments with a public transport interface and has recently been advising several very active European funds on inbound UK investments.
John and Richard joined the Mishcon London office on 6 January. Their arrivals add to the firm's comprehensive real estate sector offering and continue to bolster the capabilities of the 46-Partner strong department.
