Countdown to non-dom changes at 11.59pm on 5 April 2025 On 6 March 2024, the then Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, announced substantial changes to the tax regime for UK-resident, non-UK domiciled individuals ("non-doms"). Following Labour's election win, the current Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, confirmed that the non-dom regime change that the Conservatives put forward would be adopted, with some modifications, by the new government. The changes are significant, particularly for internationally mobile people.
