Taking place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore on 26 August, the SIAC Symposium is a cornerstone event that convenes key players from the international arbitration sphere. It offers a dynamic platform for dialogue, innovation, and the exchange of ideas, as well as unparalleled networking opportunities.

Gavin Margetson, Partner at Mishcon de Reya, will be participating in the session titled "International Arbitration in the Age of Trade Disruption and Energy Transition". Gavin and his fellow panellists will consider the impact of supply chain disruption, sanctions, structural and policy changes in the energy sector including the pivot to the use of cleaner energy and renewables, and on the incidence and type of disputes in the trade and energy sectors. They will also look at the growing importance and role of arbitration in the resolution of trade and energy disputes in this age of disruption, transition, and advancement.

Gavin has been a stalwart of the Asian legal scene since 2004, boasting nearly two decades of expertise in international arbitration, cross-border litigation, and corporate crime and investigations. Gavin's admission to the Singapore Bar is a testament to his deep commitment to and understanding of the region's legal intricacies. Gavin's practice spans a variety of sectors, with a particular emphasis on energy, telecommunications, international trade, fintech, and cryptocurrencies.
