Welcome to our Annual Review of developments relating to trade marks, copyright and designs during 2020. With COVID-19 and preparations for the end of the Brexit transition period, this was a challenging year for many businesses. Our report reflects these pervading developments, and the particular issues for IP owners but, with the Courts continuing to operate effectively during the restrictions, there are also a number of interesting IP cases to report on too. We have selected a number of the reports that we have published over the course of the last 12 months, containing our thoughts on issues such as protection of trade marks online through to the interplay between designs and copyright.
