Welcome to the Summer edition of Recruitment Watch, where we delve into the legal issues that are currently shaping the recruitment services sector.

In this edition, we focus on the implications of Labour's landslide election win on the Recruitment Services sector, examining some of Labour's key manifesto pledges and how they are likely to impact the sector.

With AI becoming increasingly integrated into recruitment and employment processes, understanding the implications of harnessing AI is critical. We are delighted to present our new 'AI in the workplace' series of articles, which consider the issues for employers and recruiters to bear in mind. 

Additionally, we analyse incentives issues, exploring why businesses might want to boost employee ownership participation, especially if they have a people-centric culture and are striving for inclusivity and profit with purpose.

We also examine what the recently introduced Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023 might mean for HR and recruitment going forward.

Employee competition continues to be a key issue. This edition includes a look at what employers can do when an employee steals confidential information.

Lastly, but definitely not least, we remind our readers of the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate's new telephone number, with which key information documents must be updated.
