The Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI)'s Climate Training for Government Officials programme has received the ESG Initiative of the Year award at the African Legal Awards 2024.
The programme, which is freely accessible, aims to equip government officials globally with the expertise to carry out climate-related projects and meet their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). To date, officials from over 87 countries have engaged with the platform, which features live expert-led sessions and an archive for later access.
Modules are presented by experts from the Legal Taskforce, SMI members and other global organisations. This week, the SMI Learning Hub is set to deliver a two-part session on Energy Fundamentals, developed in collaboration with the Energy Institute. Interested individuals are invited to register on the SMI platform for full details and to explore other forthcoming sessions.
