On Tuesday 3 December, Tom Grogan, Co-Lead of the Blockchain Group, spoke at Tech London Advocate Blockchain’s Christmas meet-up. TLA Blockchain brings together individuals from a wide variety of industries who have an interest in the adoption and implementation of distributed ledger technologies. The event, which was hosted at WeWork in Waterloo, was sold out.
Tom spoke about trends in the distributed ledger technology space and his predictions for the industry in 2020 and beyond. He discussed Mishcon de Reya's role in shaping this future, leading TLA Blockchain and its Legal & Regulatory sub-working group, and its technical, legal and regulatory capabilities. He also gave some pointers to attendees who were interested in leading or participating in a sub-working group of their own.
Tom’s talk was followed by a panel, moderated by WeWork FinTech Blockchain Lab’s Scott Trowbridge, comprising: Tazz Gault of Digital Detox, InvestWell and Backed VC; Caroline Hoffmann of MarketOrders; Lucie Munier of Sharing Economy UK and GovChain; and Alex Fazel of SwissBorg.
A huge thanks to Alex Turner (TLA Blockchain Committee) for his efforts organising the event, along with Tom’s fellow TLA Blockchain Steering Group members: Alpesh Doshi (Fintricity); Scott Trowbridge (WeWork FinTech Blockchain Labs); and Siddhi Trivedi (Beowulf Proof Works, Beyond Identity and BIBAOrg).
