Reema is an experienced commercial contracts Managing Associate in the Commercial and Technology team in the Innovation department. Reema advises across a number of sectors with a particular focus on retail, technology, sport and consumer facing brands.
Reema has a broad range of experience advising on distribution, manufacturing, licensing, warehousing and logistics agreements, e-commerce terms and bespoke arrangements for the procurement and supply of goods and services (both B2B and B2C), within the UK and internationally. Reema also advises on technology-related matters including in respect of the launch of platforms, websites, apps and NFTS and a range of IT contracts including outsourcing and SaaS agreements.
Reema has extensive experience on advising on strategic partnerships, brand collaborations and sponsorship agreements (including setting up key relationships with long-term ambassadors, influencers, and charities).
Key Experience
- Prior to joining Mishcon, Reema was seconded to ALDI Stores Limited, acting as the retailer's sole UK Commercial Legal Counsel. During her time on secondment with ALDI, Reema worked closely with the business leads on a variety of complex and high-value commercial matters, including supply chain, e-commerce and a range of brand ambassador agreements.
- Advising a well-known food manufacturer on its commercial agreements (including its media, sponsorship and retail agreements).
- Advising a well-known food manufacturer on its entry into the food-to-go market with their first white label deal.
- Advising a global luxury fashion brand on its warehousing and logistics arrangements with a new provider.
- Drafting and advising on the contractual framework to host, broadcast and commercially exploit the ‘Rage on the Red Sea’ World Heavyweight Championship bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
- Advising a major retailer on its commercial and technology agreements (including consumer terms and conditions) for their first till-less store in London.
- Advising a range of brands (from high street to luxury) on their sponsorship and influencer arrangements.
- Advising a US technology provider on its IT contracts (including the preparation of a new master services agreement for the provision of both on-premises and SaaS services).
- Advising a US tech company on the legal, commercial, consumer and contractual arrangements for a brand new NFT marketplace.
- Advising a global manufacturer on a bespoke transitional services agreement to coincide with the acquisition of one of the parties by the other.
- Undertaking a number of secondments to in-house commercial legal teams (including with Travis Perkins plc, Equifax and Tarmac).
