Toby Hornett is Head of Community at Crafty Counsel, a community whose mission is "Joy, Insight and Connection" for in-house lawyers.

Helen Kennedy-Shamir, Group General Counsel, Checkatrade

Helen is the Group GC at Checkatrade. She has spent the last 20 years advising on corporate law, working for private equity and venture capital funds and FTSE25O companies. Working in the UK, US and Australia she has experience buying, selling and building business all across the world. Outside of work Helen can be found open water swimming as well as indulging her passion as a keen (if untrained!) gardener and interior designer.

Michelle Gammon - Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Global

Michelle has been Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Global for five years. Global is Europe’s largest commercial radio company, home to stations like Capital, Heart, Classic FM, and LBC, and is the UK’s leading out-of-home advertising company. Michelle leads a team of 17, managing Legal, Compliance, and Health & Safety across the UK and Europe. Her work spans compliance for radio shows and podcasts, advertising sales and partnerships, events like Capital’s Summertime Ball, adtech, public tenders, and M&A deals. Before joining Global, Michelle was GC at Arcadia, working with brands like Topshop ,Topman and Miss Selfridge, and in the board room with Sir Philip Green and Baroness Karen Brady. She began her career as a corporate lawyer at CMS.
