Women in Wealth: Girls are investors too

In our latest podcast episode, Emily Knight, Managing Associate in the Employment Team is joined by Charlotte Yonge, who is a Fund Manager at Troy Asset Management. Charlotte is also the Founder of a charity called GAIN which stands for ‘Girls Are Investors’. GAIN was set up to promote and inspire girls to pursue a career in investing. Emily spoke to Charlotte about why women historically invest less than men, what is being done to change it and some of the myths and stereotypes around gender and investing.

Women in Wealth: Asia Spotlight - Seleste Tan

Born and bred in Johor, Malaysia, Seleste Tan had harboured thoughts of being a pastry chef at a tender age. She soon found herself helping friends to set up a restaurant. Fast forward to 2021 – a kueh delivery service was established. It was so successful that she set up a permanent storefront at 322 East 9th Street in 2022 and was invited to open an outpost at Urban Hawker in Midtown in 2023.
