Our work is about providing bespoke, top-level legal advice in specific areas of the law. We cannot be all things to all people, in large part because we do not want to be. Spreading ourselves too thin is not in our clients’ best interests, nor ours. We recognise the value of knowing where we excel, remaining focused, and investing the time and resources to grow these areas. To work this way - to be an industry leader - we prioritise four things.
We do everything we can to continually deepen our legal knowledge. In today’s converging world, where law is no longer practiced in isolation and clients are right to expect nuanced, multi-dimensional and interpretive advice, this means adding related knowledge streams too. For instance, our knowledge of data, investigations and the regulatory environment.
We embrace automation to deliver core legal services more efficiently and cost effectively. Our continually evolving technology platform embeds AI into the way we practice and advise. It means better solutions faster.
We know that in a converging world the best legal advice draws on an understanding of the wider one. Hence the work that we can do for our clients includes what is closely related, essential but non-legal: cyber security, family office, brand management, technology transformation and e-discovery services.
We continue to build an international footprint for our services in a way that best suits our clients' needs. It is why in 2020 we opened a branch office in Singapore and in November 2021 launched an association with Karas So LLP in Hong Kong. Economic growth in Asia and doing business in Europe post-Brexit represent challenges and opportunities for our international client base. We will be in the right place at the right time to help navigate.
The end result is a future-facing law firm, combining deep knowledge, a new and enabling technology platform, and a vibrant culture.
