Mishcon de Reya has announced that Robert Griffiths has joined the firm as a partner in its Innovation department.
Robert specialises in helping clients to resolve their most complex and business critical technology disputes. His clients are the suppliers and users of technology, as well as start-ups and scale-ups looking to commercialise technology products and solutions or disrupt markets through innovative use of new technologies.
He primarily assists clients with contractual and tortious claims relating to the provision of IT and outsourcing projects, but he also has significant experience of acting in corporate disputes, cross-border joint venture disputes and claims involving the sale and purchase of businesses, including breach of warranty disputes and disputes over valuations and earn outs. Robert has worked with clients across a wide ranges of sectors including IT and outsourcing, life sciences and healthcare, digital media, telecoms, retail and e-commerce and financial services (particularly in relation to Fintech, e-money and mobile payments).
Robert also brings significant international experience having been involved in cases with parties based in the US, the Middle East, India, West Africa, Central Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands), Scandinavia and the Baltics.
Robert is an active member of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) and ITech Law, and regularly attends and speaks at conferences and seminars throughout the world on a wide range of technology law issues.
