Mishcon de Reya is delighted to announce that its London office is now a signatory of the Muslim Employment Charter (MEC).
Muslim professionals face unique challenges in the modern workplace which can cause friction between faith and work obligations and/or hinder career progression. Mishcon has partnered with MEC to tackle these challenges head on by adopting MEC's 3-part charter to improve prayer facilities, social/networking policies and training & culture. Mishcon has made various commitments ranging from providing prayer and ablution facilities to promoting more inclusive social and networking events.
This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive and supportive of all our employees.
Kizzy Augustin, Partner and Co-lead of Mishcon M:BRACE (Mishcon's Race Equity Network), commented: "This accreditation is a natural and progressive step that reflects our values and dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). It is heartening to see Mishcon taking a leading role in what I hope will become an industry-wide movement to acknowledge and address an often-overlooked area of EDI in the workplace. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Muslim Employment Charter."
