And Hotel groups, Mishcon de Reya

Tonight it is our Style Gallery, it’s our annual pop-up where we have lots of brands that we know and work with.  This is very much part of our ongoing commitment to British retail and British luxury.  There’s always a buzz.  It’s always exciting.

Jessica Parker-Palmiero
General Manager, Larry King Hair Care

We are part of Walpole Brands of Tomorrow for 2024 and with that, Mishcon de Reya are our legal partner so we’re very incredibly lucky to have them as our legal mentors this year.  It is a very challenging market with the cost of living crisis, people are being very much more considered with their purchases but I think this is really time for brands that are being very innovative and really talking to their communities and customers to get that engagement and buying.

Matthew Jones
Owner and Founder, Bread Ahead

For me, a night like tonight really is important, we’re very much about community, engaging with people and giving our product really, just direct to an audience.

Dina Jahina
Co-Founder & Director, ETO

The big priority in 2024 is to grow the brand’s awareness of ETO so, to increase our awareness in various retailers internationally as well as in the UK and also to grow our brand presence with our direct to consumers.  So when we got the invite, we just couldn’t turn it down.

Philippa Turner
Head of Brand Creative, Fielden Whisky

So, we have a legal mentor from Mishcon, they help us with trademark and other legal advice, support with investment, which is really useful as a new luxury brand in the market.  Tonight it’s just great to see liquid on lips, people enjoying our whisky for the first time and we want to give consumers the opportunity to drink a luxury, sustainable product.

Etain Commane
Head of Retail, Linda Farrow

So the biggest challenge facing retail today is the changing market with tax free and tourism within the UK, particularly within London where the majority of our stores are based.  Going forward, I think there’s a great opportunity for retailers to really focus on experience and working together to improve the customer journey.

Louisa Clayden
Marketing and Events, Edward Bulmer Paint

As a brand who is really focussed on sustainability, I think getting that message across any way we can is one of our main aims, so an event like this this evening is perfect.  Our key priorities for 2024 is continuing to educate our client base on the benefits of natural paint.

Anna Berkeley
Founder, Think Shape

Mishcon de Reya have been incredibly helpful and offered their support with things like AI so, I’m not a tech based person, I’m a stylist so, things like that have been invaluable to me and they’ve been very kind in offering their support in lots and lots of different ways and tonight has been incredible with some great conversations.

Sally Britton?
Partner, Mishcon de Reya

Tonight’s been an amazing experience, it’s been great to support so many innovative brands in the sector.  It’s been particularly good seeing the ones that are embedding AI and sustainability in their actual brand position.  A night like tonight is so important to Mishcon because we really care about the brands we support and this gives them an opportunity to engage with our network and their customers and for us to get to know them better.
