Senior Data Protection Specialist Jon Baines has provided his thoughts on the use of ChatGPT by employees, as businesses grow wary of the possibility of sensitive data being exposed.
Jon explained that companies using ChatGPT could risk breaking data laws if the software created inaccurate information.
He commented: “Where [ChatGPT’s] output involves the processing of personal data, questions then arise about the extent to which the inevitably inaccurate processing might be an infringement of the requirement, under the GDPR, to process personal data accurately.”
