Josh is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation team in the Dispute Resolution Department.
He has experience advising on complex, multijurisdictional English court proceedings, as well as disputes across a wide range of other subject matters including shareholder claims under sections 90/90A FSMA, contractual disputes, professional negligence, insurance disputes, regulatory and internal investigations and costs proceedings. He has advised clients across a number of sectors, including financial services, technology, manufacturing, media and insurance and he has a particular interest in funded group actions.
Key Experience
- Acting for a group of investors in claims under s90 and s90A FSMA against two multinational listed entities.
- Acting for the UK subsidiaries of publisher Bonnier Books in a claim against their former auditor alleging negligence in the audits of their financial statements (Bonnier Books UK Group Holdings Limited & Ors v Haysmacintyre LLP).
- Advising a software development company in relation to a dispute with a software provider over contractual termination rights.
- Advising a product manufacturer in a pre-action product liability dispute.
- Advising a global packaging company in its settlement of an insurance dispute.
- Acting for JPMorgan in its successful defence of a Quincecare claim brought by the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Federal Republic of Nigeria v JPMorgan Chase Bank NA [2022] EWHC 1447 (Comm)).
