Julius is an Associate in the Tax Disputes and Investigations team in the Dispute Resolution department.
He has experience advising high net worth individuals, small companies, large corporates and charities in a diverse range of complex and high-value tax disputes. Julius has advised clients both in relation to HMRC investigations and on appeals to the Tax Tribunals, as well as litigation in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Julius has also gained valuable experience acting in High Court commercial litigation, often involving multi-jurisdictional issues. He has recently advised clients in the mining/commodities, food and drink, manufacturing and technology sectors.
In addition to English, Julius is a native speaker of German and fluent in Spanish.

- Acting for various traders against allegations of missing trader intra-community fraud, ranging from mobile phones and luxury vehicles to carbon credits and waste trading
- Acting for an overseas company on a voluntary disclosure to HMRC relating to the VAT treatment of digital services supplied in the UK
- Advising a global food conglomerate on the applicable customs regime for proposed direct to consumer sales
- Acting for claimant investors in multi-jurisdictional and high value commercial proceedings for breach of contract claims
