Kate Higgins

Kate leads the Knowledge Lawyer function at Mishcon and is responsible for developing and delivering the firm's knowledge management strategy.  She is an expert in corporate law, transactions and governance.  

Kate's role is pivotal to the firm's commitment to excellence and investment in a strong knowledge focussed service to the firm's lawyers and clients. Our Knowledge Lawyers design, build and deliver client focussed, modern and tech enabled law and practice solutions to the Firm's lawyers and clients.  This includes by providing professional expertise (through our Academy) to our lawyers, clients and other external knowledge communities. 

Kate has over 30 years’ experience of advising on corporate law and corporate transactions for private and public companies. Kate also leads Corporate Governance initiatives for Mishcon.  She is a published author on Corporate Governance (the Jordan Publishing Company Administration and Governance set, available through Lexis Library); and a member of the Corporate Governance committee for the Quoted Companies Alliance, which represents small and mid-cap quoted companies. 

Kate has experience of acting as a non-executive director, including on the risk committee of a Multi Academy trust.  She has also been a judge for MDR LAB, Mishcon de Reya's programme for tech start-ups in the legal sector.
