Katie is an Associate in the Reputation Protection and Crisis Management team in the Mishcon Private department.
Her work involves assisting clients, including high-profile and high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, companies, and families, on a range of contentious matters including defamation, privacy, data protection, harassment, and commercial litigation. Katie advises clients, often in times of crisis, on protecting their reputations and mitigating adverse media coverage and intrusion, both pre- and post- publication, and works regularly alongside PR and strategic crisis communications specialists.
Katie helps to lead the Firm's involvement with the SPITE (Sharing and Publishing Images to Embarrass) project, a pro bono project in association with the Queen Mary University Legal Advice Centre, providing legal advice to victims of intimate image abuse.

- Advising clients on data protection rights, misuse of private information, and breach of confidence.
- Obtaining the de-listing and takedown of inaccurate, historic, and/or defamatory content hosted by Internet Service Providers including Google and Bing, and Content Platforms such as Glassdoor.
- Providing post-publication advice to clients, including those that are the subject of smear campaigns and/or inaccurate and defamatory statements published online and/or on social media platforms.
- Providing pre-publication and crisis management advice to clients in respect of proposed publications by major news outlets.
- Advising clients who have had intimate images shared without their consent.
