Nicola is a Managing Associate in the Corporate department. Nicola advises clients, from founders and SMEs to large corporate institutions, on a variety of matters in relation to establishing, expanding and eventually exiting their business.
Nicola advises clients on a range of matters including:
- Angel investments (including SEIS and EIS investments)
- Venture capital and private equity investments
- Spin outs and start-ups
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Exits to domestic and overseas acquirers
- Corporate governance, corporate restructures, shareholder and joint venture agreements and bespoke articles of association
Nicola also spent nine months on secondment to a leading investment fund management firm and is the co-author of the "Founders' Handbook".

- Acting for a software company on its £20,000,000 series A investment round
- Assisting a quantum technology company with a £3,000,000 investment round
- Advising an EIS fund on multiple investment opportunities
- Working with founders and their companies as they 'spin out' of various English Universities
- Assisting the shareholders of a leading European manufacturer of torque products on the sale of the group to an American company, for approximately $72,000,000
- Acting for a Swiss company on the purchase of multiple fire and security businesses in the UK
