Morag Ofili is travelling to Lagos, Nigeria with the Ministry of Justice as part of the 'Legal Services are GREAT' international marketing campaign.
Morag was chosen by the Ministry of Justice to be part of the legal services trade mission to promote the UK's £24 billion legal services sector overseas. Other delegates include partners, associates and barristers from law firms and chambers across the UK including Clifford Chance, DAC Beachcroft and Pump Court Chambers.
She said, "Being part of the Ministry of Justice's legal services trade mission to Lagos, Nigeria is an exciting experience for me. I am looking forward to engaging with my peers and colleagues both in the delegation and in Nigeria, and believe this will be a great opportunity to strengthen our firm's relationships with Nigerian law firms and businesses. I hope to build new relationships that will enable Mishcon to extend the international footprint of its core services - working collaboratively with local professionals who will supplement and complement our offering."
Nigeria has the largest economy and legal sector in sub-Saharan Africa and a legal system based on English law. The trade mission will focus on developing business partnerships, skills sharing and best practice. Trade between the UK and Nigeria was worth £4.2 billion in 2017 and is set to double by 2030.
