Mishcon de Reya has supported the Women of the Future South East Asia Awards since it was launched two years ago. These awards showcase inspiring regional emerging leaders - tomorrow’s game-changers, disrupting stereotypes and driving positive impactful change.
The firm's Managing Partner, Kevin Gold, attended the ceremony in Singapore on 21 March and presented the 'Professions' award, which recognises women who are making a significant contribution in the professions of legal, medicine, architecture, accounting, insurance and education in the region. The award went to Najaa Halbi of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company.
Kevin said: "We are very proud to support the Women of the Future South East Asia Awards. It is important to celebrate the achievements of these impressive women and to increase their visibility so that they can be role models for the generation that follows. There is a wealth of opportunity in the region and it's fantastic to see how it's being embraced.
"We know that businesses thrive on diversity. Recognising and rewarding success with awards such as these helps to empower individuals to fulfil their full potential, and to foster diversity in business. We articulate this in our core values, which are the bedrock of our firm."
