Mark is an experienced Partner in the Corporate department acting as lead corporate counsel for financial sponsors across the full spectrum of public and private corporate transactions and joint ventures.
He has particular expertise advising private equity real estate clients across all real estate asset classes and regularly advises a number of leading financial sponsors in this sector including Brookfield and Starwood Capital.
Key Experience
- Advised AXA IM - Real Assets on the acquisition of Kadans Science Partner. The circa €500m transaction represented AXA IM's first acquisition in the European Life Sciences Sector.
- Advised Brookfield on numerous transactions including as the majority investor establishing a €500m joint venture with a local partner to acquire, develop and manage industrial assets throughout Iberia; and as the majority investor in the Cheval Paris Fund which acquired and will develop a c. $1bn mixed-use trophy asset on the Champs-Élysées.
- Advised the Davies Group (a large portfolio company of BC Partners) on its acquisition of Worksmart Limited and two other aborted acquisitions.
- Advised Starwood on a number of transactions including on the aborted acquisition of a UK care homes owner, operator and developer valued at circa £700m; and the implementation of a MIP for the senior management team of RDI REIT.
