Personal Profile

Oliver is a Managing Associate in the Real Estate department.

Oliver specialises in commercial property and advises clients across a wide range of transactions including development, investment and management work. He also has experience in advising lenders and borrowers on real estate finance transactions. His clients include institutional investors, property developers, overseas investors, high net worth individuals, family offices, listed companies and property funds.

Oliver has acted on numerous high value projects across the build to rent, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), logistics and office sectors. Recent highlights include advising Fusion Students on various forward funding schemes, as well as advising a student accommodation operator on significant portfolio transactions across the UK. He also regularly advises a listed national house builder on landlord and tenant matters, including complex pre-let agreements.

In addition, Oliver also regularly advises on the real estate aspects of M&A transactions.

Key Experience

  • Fusion Students: advising student accommodation provider Fusion Students on numerous transactions, including on the sale and forward funding of a student portfolio to US investor, Cain International. Oliver also assisted on Fusion's acquisition of their Brent Cross site, which is the location of its first London development and will be a new £210 million student accommodation scheme.
  • Tri7 Limited: advising Tri7 on several recent acquisitions, including the development site at 10-12 Whitworth Street, Manchester which was purchased out of administration for £16 million.
  • TriOffice: advising Tri7's new commercial office investment arm in connection with the acquisition of a multi-let office building in Manchester.
  • Bridge Industrial: acting for Bridge Industrial, the US-based industrial real estate operating company and investment manager, on its expansion into the UK. Highlights include: the acquisition (and subsequent financing) of Bridge Point Enterprise East comprising 333,000 sq. ft of last mile warehousing space in East London; and the relocation of Bridge's European Headquarters in London.
  • Equites Property Fund: worked on various UK assets, including: the financing of Equities' Tesco, Hinkley site; general management matters at the DHL site, Island Road, Reading; EV charging upgrade at the Amazon site, Stanley Matthews Way, Stoke on Trent.
  • Columbia Threadneedle: acting for BMO Property Growth and Income Fund ICVC (now part of Columbia Threadneedle Investments) in connection with its disposal of 23 Mallard Close, Earls Barton, Northampton, occupied by Pro Tiler.
  • Selig Group: advising Selig Group in connection with the lease renewal at its European Headquarters, Slough Trading Estate.
  • Watkin Jones: advising in connection with the disposal of its BTR schemes across various major regional cities in the UK.
  • A FTSE listed national house builder: advising on numerous commercial pre-lets and complex land matters across two large estates; acting on an over-station development deal with TfL for a mixed-use scheme of over 400 residential units and commercial space.
  • Student accommodation provider: regularly advising a large student accommodation provider in connection with portfolio acquisitions and the ongoing management matters.
  • PGIM Real Estate: worked on the acquisition of the Domus portfolio from Goldman Sachs. Oliver also regularly acts for PGIM Real Estate in connection with the funding of portfolio assets: most recently in the warehousing and care home sectors.
  • Overseas investor: acting for a family-owned investment firm in Turkey in connection with the acquisition of 15 Fetter Lane and the subsequent corporate sale of the entity which owned 15 Fetter Lane to an overseas investor.
  • Advanced Computer Software Group Limited: assisting on the real estate aspects of several M&A transactions, including the acquisition of Oyez Professional Services Ltd, Clear Review and The National Will Register Limited.
