Simon is a Partner and co-heads the non-contentious construction team in our Construction group. He has over 30 years' experience in the construction sector, initially as a chartered surveyor, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2000. He acts for developers, property owners and investors, funders, contractors, consultants and sub-contractors and has expertise in the following sectors: residential (both build to rent developments and prime residential for private clients), student accommodation, hotels, office developments and distribution centres.
Simon advises on construction procurement strategy and prepares and negotiates all forms of construction agreements, including forward funding agreements, building contracts, consultants' appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees, He advises a number of property development and investment companies including Delancey, PGIM, UBS, AEW, Dominus, Watkins Jones, Get Living and Student Roost.
Simon is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
