He is also the Founding Chairman of the UK India Business Council and a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London.

  • Michael Saunders Bibendum Wine

    Michael joined Bibendum Wine in 1982, the year the company was founded, following a brief stint working for Sherry Lehmann in New York. Apart from six months working at Chateaux Leoville Barton and Langoa Barton in 1985, Michael has spent the last thirty years building Bibendum into the UK’s most successful independently-owned wine and spirits business. Michael was responsible for founding Bibendum’s On Trade department in 1986 and its Fine Wine broking desk two years later. Having been made Sales Director in 1988, Michael became Joint Managing Director in 2001 and assumed sole responsibility five years later. Under his tenure, Bibendum’s turnover has dramatically increased and it now supplies every channel of the UK trade from contract catering to multiple grocers, via Michelin-starred restaurants and travel retail. Bibendum was chosen as the supplier of wines (Olympic venues) to the London 2012 Games.

    Gina Miller is a philanthropist and business woman who has founded five businesses since 1992, all of which have operated with a profit for purpose model where a percentage of profit goes to community projects and charities. In 2009 Gina formalised her support for small charities by founding Miller Philanthropy which focuses on community charities doing transformational work primarily in the UK. Over her working career, Gina has supported over 45 charities in 23 countries. She is also a passionate advocate of smarter giving and a more strategic business-like approach to charity and the Third Sector. Gina is known for her feisty approach, commitment to protecting consumers and speaking up against poor industry practices. In 2012 Gina started the True and Fair Campaign calling for radical reform in the investment and savings industry via transparency on all fees and holdings as well as a more ethical culture leading to the eradication of many the opaque anti-consumer practises occurring in the UK savings and investment industry. Gina co-founded SCM Private in 2009 which embodies what she is calling for in her True and Fair Campaign. It is an innovative, modern consumer centred investment manager, focused on consistent performance, high diversification, low cost and fair fees – all underpinned by 100% transparency.

    Sarah Wood is Co-founder and COO of marketing technology company, Unruly, where she ensures that the company delivers the most awesome social video campaigns on the planet. Sarah has been voted UK Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Growing Business Awards, one of 15 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc., one of 10 London-Based Entrepreneurs to Watch by Forbes and a Rising Star in Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK IT. Sarah is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where she teaches a course in “Mash-Ups, Memes and LOLitics: Online Video Culture and the Screen Media Revolution” for the Screen Media and Cultures MPhil . She has been a member of Social Media Week’s Global Advisory Board since 2011 and is part of the Gazelle Group of Entrepreneurs, helping to foster a new generation of entrepreneurs. When she’s not working, Sarah spends way too much time on the Viral Video Chart, watching clips of kittehs* with her kids. *Kittehs is l33t speak for kittens. It's a deliberate, playful misspelling used extensively by the LOLcats meme, much as "teh" was used instead of "the" in the early noughties"
